Gun Barrel City, located just 54.4 miles from the center of downtown Dallas, is the bustling commercial center of Cedar Creek Lake. This city is growing, as are the other surrounding communities that make up the tri-county "Lakeplex.” Business is booming in Gun Barrel City. In 2001, Gun Barrel City's 150 retail merchants produced $85,358,285, ranking the city 15th among 115 Texas cities with populations ranging from 5,000 to 10,000.

Although the resident population is just 5,145, Main Street in Gun Barrel City sees a normal winter traffic flow of more than 18,000 cars per day. This number increases dramatically in the spring, summer, and fall when the weekender and visitor influx brings thousands of guests into the area who come to enjoy the lake, restaurants, shopping, and local entertainment.

Cedar Creek Marketplace is strategically located on one of the busiest intersections in Gun Barrel City  at the southeast corner of Pleasureland Drive and Highway 334, directly across the street from the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Chili’s Grill and Bar (ground lease) is open and operating on one acre of the approximately 7-acre site. We have strong interest from several restaurants for one of our remaining pad sites and we are working with developers to secure a national drug store chain for the hard corner of the property. Our plans are to sell off or develop the remaining acreage into retail and/or medical office space.
